International Expertise Database

The Office of International Affairs has initiated an online International Expertise Database for the University of Connecticut. The purpose of the database is to provide us with a tool to serve our internal and external constituencies more effectively in various ways including:

  • Offer a way of matching faculty expertise and interest with internationally-oriented grant, contract, and consulting opportunities;

  • Provide the names of faculty members who would benefit from association with our area and topical studies Centers and Programs; and

  • Allow responses (other than anecdotal) to the requests of the University's Office of Communications for experts who might comment on newsworthy international events and activities.

Please take a few minutes to join the International Expertise Database by clicking on the Join International Expertise Database link below. You will need your NetID and associated password to access the database and will be prompted through a series of simple questions regarding languages spoken, countries of interest, type of work performed, and contact information. If you do not know your NetID information, go to: netid.uconn.edu.
